Carlos Rogers (American football)
Carlos Cornelius Rogers (born July 2, 1981) is an American football cornerback who is a free agent. He played college football at Auburn, where he earned consensus All-American honors, and was drafted by the Washington Redskins ninth overall in the 2005 NFL Draft. Rogers has also played for the San Francisco 49ers and Oakland Raiders.
==Early life==
Rogers was born in Augusta, Georgia. He was raised in Thomson, Georgia until his family moved to Augusta while he was in middle school.〔(【引用サイトリンク】 url=http://mirror.augusta.com/stories/042805/spo_042805_1811_25.shtml )〕 He attended Butler High School, where he played football, basketball, and participated in track and field. In football, Rogers played both offense and defense. As a senior, he rushed for 1,332 yards and 11 touchdowns and posted 47 tackles with two interceptions.〔(【引用サイトリンク】 url=http://www.carlosrogers.com/ssp/biography/ )〕 He was a SuperPrep All-American, an Augusta Chronicle all-area and all-metro choice, and was listed in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution's "Georgia 75". In basketball, he averaged 14.2 points per game as a senior and 13.8 points as a junior. In track, he posted times of 10.7 seconds in the 100-meter dash and 21.0 seconds in the 200-meter dash.〔
